A collaborative artwork by Quentin Gore and Gregg Mitchell located at Sovereign Place Town Centre in Port Macquarie, NSW. This work focuses on the connection between the rural hinterland of Port Macquarie and the stunning coastline and surf beaches through the use of leaf/surfboard shapes laser cut with organic cellular like patterns.
The shapes are suspended in a layered and random pattern down a shopping centre arbour creating a welcoming entrance to the centre. Shadows cast by sun shining through the forms engage with the ground plain.
