Quentin was born in Adelaide, South Australia in 1961 and graduated from the South Australian College of Advanced Education ( now The University of South Australia ) with a Bachelor of Industrial Design Degree in 1985 and more recently graduated in 2020 with an Associate Degree in Visual Art from Adelaide Central School of Art . In 2017 he was awarded a Fellow of The Design Institute of Australia, FDIA.
Quentin balances his time working as a design consultant and a visual artist. He has a studio in the Adelaide Hills and has been producing and exhibiting his sculpture regularly over the last decade. Many of his works evolve from simple geometric patterns that can been found in nature and often utilise found objects particularly recycled timbers. He is equally competent working with metal and stone. He has a deep interest in environmental protection and conservation.
