QUENTIN GORE

Although these works are inspired by natural flower like forms, displayed 

as a group and at this larger scale, they also take on human like characteristics.

I like to work with reclaimed materials, reveal their working history and give them new life. 

These hardwood timbers are from the old Moonta Jetty. Buried beneath the tar, gravel and salt patina is all the age, strength and character of Australia’s old growth forests.
